All dogs within our program are accessed on their skills & tasks prior to placement. By having these standards in place we are able to maintain a high standard of training, regardless of the dog we’re working with. Watch one of our started prospect assessments featuring started prospect Beowulf.

Available Dogs
Atticus
Atticus is a 17-month old, neutered, male Labrador! He was surrendered by his original family who’s schedule did not align with having a dog. Atticus is available as a active pet or service dog candidate. As a service dog Atticus’ skillset would be bet suited for non-weight bearing mobility (until OFA’d), medical response, cognitive, and/or hearing tasks.

Height (at withers): About 24 ½ to 25” tall
Weight: About 90 lbs
Personality: Fun loving, happy, and goofy.
Energy Level: Medium, 7/10
Drive Level: Medium-High 8/10
Lifestyle: Atticus would be a great dog for an experienced or active service dog handler, or active pet/sport home.

Atticus will learn prior to placement if placed as partially trained dog. Fully trained dogs will have tasks added to fit their needs:

These skills will not be taught for a started or pet dog.

Atticus is on monthly Frontline Plus & Heartgard for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Atticus was neutered at 14 months old by his original owner. He is up to date on vaccinations.
We’ve given Atticus time to settle in, and learn how to be a happy dog! Atticus has now begun working on his Basic Skills & Behavior training. He’s been working hard on his training, and is making progress every day! The following video shows some of his progress with leash walking, and his big personality!
